To the south of downtown Houston you will find the lively Midtown, a particularly appealing area of the city, full of popular shops and stylish buildings, while to the southwest of central Houston lies the museum district, which boasts an impressive selection of museums and galleries. Other notable districts in the city include Uptown Houston and The Heights area.
